A card made for a friend whose eldest Son passed away suddenly. I embroidered the design (from a CD) on a white, see through, 'crushed' terylene and double WSS. Set it over a soft background of praying hands and a cross. The verse on the inner leaf reads: Our memories build a special bridge, when loved ones have to part. To help us feel we're with them still and soothe a grieving heart. Our memories span the years we shared, preserving ties that bind. They build a special bridge of love and bring us peace of mind. The card and embroidery are a pale lilac colour which doesn't show well in the picture.

Shirlene thank you - such a delicate situation to know the best way to be supportive when there is so much grief to overcome.

This is just perfect. What a wonderful card to give to someone that is in such grief. That must be one of the hardest passings to go through to lose a child.

Absolutely beautiful as always eleu. I am having a very hard time finding the cards here, tried carft store and they didn't know what I was talking about. Found 1 package very plain white in picture framing store and nothing in stationery supplies. Where do you get yours please...thanks Glenda

This card is all completely homemade Glenda, I needed a special size to fit the embroidery - I buy artist's drawing pads in pastel and bright colours to make the card blanks. eBay is a good source of craft supplies or google 'craft suppliers' & I'm sure you will find some in your area for mail order.
