I got a really bad virus and had to do a destructive restore. Fortunately my files were on an external drive that was not corrupted. It's going to take me weeks to re-load software. I believe the virus came from DHD-EMB.com which is a link I found in one of the posts here. My virus software did not detect it, so be careful.

The virus downloaded as soon as I hit the site. I remember there being only 2 designs I was interested in, however I deleted the files. The virus made my computer appear to be warning me that I had a virus and gave me the option to use a bogus but legitimate looking virus scanning software. What made me suspicious was there was no way to decline it, nor could I get rid of it. I had to do a destructive restore which sent my pc back 6 years. I'm still re-installing software. Fortunately my files were on an external drive that was not corrupted.

How did you find out that you had a virus if the software did not detect it? We have a laptop, that is acting strange, but I have never downloaded designs there. The virus scan has not found anything.
