This one is entirely embroidered : the large monogram E is from the Victorian Monogram collection on Oregon Patchworks, the large FSL butterfly is from StitchDelight and the little FSL butterfly edging is a freebie from DesignsBySick; my friend's name is Elaine and I added the butterflies because her middle name is Vanessa, which she always hated till I told her it was the name of a family of beautiful butterflies! Just ordinary A4 card, cut it to size with a deckle edge roller cutter and trimmed it with gold peel-offs!

You can embroider on card - and paper too - providing that the stitches aren't too dense, but this isn't, the E is stitched on fabric which is then mounted on card and the FSL butterflies added afterwards with glue!
