Thank you. Wing needle is for using in Heiloom sewing and also for Hemstitching. The "wing" creates small holes by separating the fibres .When you buy centres and doileys for hand embroidery, the Hemstitch around the edge is made by the "wing "needle

Beautiful! I have used the Wing needle in sewing but never embroidery. I assume it takes special designs to do this?

thank you . Yes it does. I only use it for sewing too, UNTIL this week I've started a couple of doileys using the wing needle Not too bad, would rather use it to "high" light embroidery though
