Praise the Lord! Now, tell him a hip replacement is a piece of cake compaired to the pain he's in BEFORE the replacement! I know, I have BOTH hips & both knees replaced and I'm "only" 65! When time comes if he or you have any questions from "one who's walked that walk" send me an email. Address in my profile.

"The Prayers of the RIGHTEOUS availeth much"
Wonderful news! Thank you for sharing it so promptly so that we can all rejoice with you.
After the scare you had, a hip replacement is no big deal. My brother had one hip done in Jan and the other in May this year, he is 77 yrs old. He was home from the hospital in 3-4 days each time - and able to go upstairs to bedroom by the next day, although slowly. My mother had one in 1977 when she was 74 and seemed about 20 years younger by the time she was home from the hospital. I know of a neighbor who had his hip replaced at 98-100 yrs old, and also had no problems - from the hip at least, he did have pretty bad hearing by then. He just moved from his own house to an assisted living place near his son a few months ago at 102 or 103, still telling great stories and writing letters to the newspapers about what is going on around his town. Amazing man! The point is, your hubby has a lot to look forward to, free of pain from that hip. Love and best wishes, Lois

OH that is FANTASTIC news!!!! I am so happy for you!
Sister's MIL had a hip replacement 2 years ago, at the ripe young age of 95, she is as spry now as a 40 year old. They've improved the procedure tremendously so that's a big positive.
Hugs n roses, Meganne
