I have never done it, but have heard from others that it helps, American says put n freezer 30 mins. I remember back during the war the women were putting nylon stockings n the freezer like that because they said it kept them from having runs. Must b something n freezing strengthens the threads *

I am taking all the food out and putting my whole chest in the freezer lol I will have to try it out, sounds like an interesting technique.

I have used a liquid silicon that is in a pot between the spool and the machine & the thread goes over a silicon soaked pad, great for high speed industrial machines. [I have 8 different machines besides my domestic machines]

Now I'm curious.. where oh where do you put all of them? And I thought I had quite a collection, including the oldies I can't part with.

I bought it especially for that purpose in the embroidery studio where I buy all my supplies (at very low prices). They have a number of 4 and 6 head 16 needle industrial machines running all day and use it themselves, I guess they know what they are talking about. *4U

I don't know. I've heard put it in the freeze for 30 minutes, no longer and it should work. I haven't had this problem yet. It is worth trying.
Good luck.
