week in paradise. Will miss visiting everyday here and will have to catch up on all the "gos" when i get back. I am very nervous about the plane trip because it is by myself and i am lacking confidence badly, but figure if i don't go thru the anxiety i will miss out, so wish me luck (i have a valium on hand - pathetic really isn't it) LOL to ya all - don't be too envious hahahahaha!

oh sweetie , you won't need the Valium. Have a glass of wine instead and think of how much fun you will have. My daughter was a flight attendant with Delta until fairly recently and she could travel with one on those little black pulley cases. My down fall is to always take too much stuff and them ware myself trying to lug it around. Have fun and tell us all about it when you get back!!!

Would u believe i have crammed everything into 1 small pully suitcase and put that suitcase into a bigger one so as IF i go shopping (!!!!!!!!) i'll have room to bring things home - along with DH who can help me lug it around hahaha

Now there's an idea, never even thoght of that. Last trip my DH bought home a silk quilt (not cover just quilt) made from pure silk (looks like very fine dacron/cotton wool), very warm in winter and cool in summer and ever so light on top of u. Thanks for the suggestion and LOL ad of course *4U

You will have a ball, so to make sure you get there feeling great here is:
Some tips from a seasoned traveller:

Buy some "Airplane" ear plugs (at the airport) and use them until the plane reaches cruising altitude, and insert them again before it starts its descent to land, (will help avoid any headaches or ear problems caused by changes in altitude pressure)

Try to avoid drinking alcohol but accept any other fluids on offer and don't allow yourself to dehydrate. Chewing also helps your ears so chew on a piece of gum & eat the snacks they offer you.

Don't be afraid to get up and walk around to stretch your legs, leave your shoes on, or take a pair of comfies that you can slip on, but make sure they are ones you won't mind being seen in, in case your feet swell and you can't get your shoes back on, and under no circumstances sit cross-legged.

And don't forget to put your make up and personal hygiene goodies in your carry-on so you can freshen up before the plane lands.

Now, off you go and have a fantastic (second?) honeymoon and leave all us green-eyed friends behind without a second thought, I would!!! LOL!!!!
hugs n roses, M

You really are such a sweetie and i will take all this advice on board (so to speak) and very sound advice indeed. And yes it is only my second honeymoon i have been with my DH and bestest friend for just over 30 years now - i am once again the luckiest person on the planet. LOL back at you

P.S. What the hec! Can't i even have a double scotch or 50! hahahaha That would surely settle my anxiety butsee your point. When i sneak 1 i'll think of u but stop at just 1 hahaha

Have that one glass of wine instead!!! but do get up and walk, it will help the circulation.

I'm not a drinker at all, but may do as u suggest - hec - why not! I suffer bad sciatica and back pain (due to herniated disk), so i am very wary, so need to move around - i even have those sexy stockings for preventing blood clots. I aint takin' no risks. LOL Blackie and *4U

Didn't know they made the stockings in BLACK FISH-NETS Heeeee

blackie by blackie 09 Oct 2008

I wish they did - these are horrid - but nothin that a pair of jeans won't cover up. Oh goodness remember the old fish nets - I use to wear them years ago, thanks for the memories. (I always thought they looked a bit "slutish" oopppsss pardon me! *4U
