If it is loopy, the bobbin needs to be tighter - correct?

I'm really frusterated.

Hi Joye, I was told not to use prewound bobbins in my machine. And Sheryl is right, NEVER touch the screw on bobbin case.

I have been wondering where you were. Good to see you.

Since it was working all right this morning and it isn't now that you changed to WSS, you might want to tighten your upper tension and see if that corrects your problem. Also, you might check and make sure that your thread is going through the upper tension properly. Re-threading never hurts and so often can help. *4u

I have tried several times. At first I thought it was the poly thread. . .now I'm not sure.
Thank you.

Hi again, just rang a dealer not far from me and they suggested to take your bobbin out and if the cotton on it is spongy, it needs to be rewound and also its might not be in correctly, and she also said to NEVER touch the screw on the bobbin case and a new case will not make any difference, hope this helps you

Thank you.
I use prewound bobbins. I have changed it though. I don't know what to do. It was working perfect this morning on some cotton with tear a way. Then I changed to some WSS for a new project and now it just wont work.
Thanks so much for your help.

Every time I have problems with my machine, and I just learned this lately, I remove the bobbin and the thread and vacuum every little area of it, if the sensor is dirty the machine will not work correctly.**

Depending on your machine, loopy could be tension on the upper thread and/or a new needle required.

Yesterday i cleaned the fluff out my bobbin case area, replaced the needle and wiped over the machine to remove dust. It is sewing much better now.

I have a can of air, I've done that and oiled it too.
