I get pre-wound bobbins from my Janome dealer, I have no trouble with them. BUT once I got a sample pre-wound bobbin, that fit perfectly in my bobbin case but was NOT the right size. That caused me no end of problems with the machine, took it to the dealer. He showed me the very slight different size, put the right bobbin in, and worked like a charm. Where did you get the pre-wound bobbins, and are you sure they are sized for the Janome machine? That could well be your problem if they're not. NEBS makes a couple of sizes, make sure you've got the right one. Marji

You are so sweet. That is okay. I have a bunch. I'm just wondering why my machine won't work for me.
Thank you.

I have a Babylock Ellageo3, and use Nebs almost all the time. She winds a good bobbin, but there is so much more thread on the prewounds. I did try sideless, and didn't like them.

Thank you. I also like Nebs. I'm just trying to get to the root of the problem.

I have never had any problems with pre-wound bobbins and my Brother 4500D. I have never tried them with my Singer machines. Eric

Thank you. I haven't had any trouble either - but my machine isn't working so I thought it was worth looking into.

there are some machines that do not accept well pre-wound bobbins, yours might be one of them. I have never used them so can't tell you much about them

I haven't had a problem before. However, I'm having all kinds of problems now. So I thought it was worth looking into.
Thanks.

Yes, I am still having trouble. It acts like it is going to sew perfect, and then in a few minutes everything seems all messed up again.
Thank you.

I have not problem with the normal prewound bobbins. However, I got some from Katie's Shack, I think, and the thread is more coarse than normal and I have to be careful with it. The incorrect size thread can certainly cause a problem in more ways than one.

Have not had any trouble with it. Sometimes there is a bit too much on it. So I have to take a little off so it feeds without pulling tight. I use the plasic sides.

I use the prewound bobbin for all of my embroidery, except my FSL. I do not have problems with them. I use the plastic "L" type, but do not really like the paper side ones, because of the dust they create in the bobbin case.

Thank you. I haven't used the paper ones, that is an excellent point.

I use them all the time for embroidery of course and don't seem to have any problems at all. I use the ones with the plastic sides, size L. I have the Husqvarna Designer 1, maybe its the size - are you sure you got the right size? Some use the sideless, some paper, some plastic and i know there are 'L's but don't remember the other size, "S" I think. check those things and if all else fails ask your dealer. Good luck.

I use the ones that have the paper on each side for my BrotherPE150. If is seems like they are pulling I take the side off that fits into the bobbin case (away from me) :)
