It would be easy and relatively cheap to make one out of a skein of embroidery floss...
Here is a link to a tutorial...
Look here if you have a digitizing programm you can try it with this tutorial it is quite simple!
If you are in San Diego try calling UFO. It is an upholstery place. They have big ones. They might have small ones also. When I lived there I shopped them for all my upholstery and drape items. UFO is Upholstery Fabric Outlet. I believe that is the name of it. Mildred
Good idea Mildred! They're over in Vista I believe... I'm in Escondido. Thanks for the tip, tippi! :-) xoxo
I usually just use ribbon Teri but have purchase some of the very small tassels from Wal mart & used them. I would have thought Michael's would have what u r looking 4. sorry I'm no help to U . U coulc make your own. but when would u find the time? *4u
Lillian, if you think about it next time you're there, would you get a product number off of the hanging tag... the associates at WM look at me like I have 2 heads when I ask them for "bookmark tassels"... thanks! xoxo
I say some at Joann fabrics ...sometimes they are with scrapbooking "stuff".
I tried 3 Joann's... nothing... I thought scrapbooking was the "in" thing now... :-)
I was going to suggest Hobby Lobby . but was a little late. A flower for you
Try a book store like Barnes and Nobles - sometimes they have them with book marks for sale
Check out the home dec department. Sometimes you can get the tassels as trim on a piece by the yard...can just cut them off and use them on your bookmarks! But I LOVE Hobby Lobby and they do have a web site if you don't have one in your area. A very good store. So give them a try.
Why not make your own? They're not only individual, and more personal, but there's a great choice of beautiful threads you can use. Instructions at the post below. <
An even quicker way is to just round up 1/2 dozen or so long threads, fold them in half making a loop, push the loop through the hole in the bookmark, only far enough so that you can then push the bottom of the dangling threads through the loop. Then reduce the loop length until it is tight on the dangling threads.
Instant Tassle.

Oh, I use the beautiful Silky crocheting yarns, just look anywhere they sell knitting and crochet yarns, some are just gorgeous.
Oh Meg..that looks a lot like work... and I don't know if my poor hands could tighten them... thanks to carpal tunnel. :-( I will print this though for future reference... xoxo
I get mine at Hobby Lobby, the last ones I got were a dollar. They are called Tiny Tassels.
Teri I know I have seen tassels at walmart, they don't have the long floss string, but they are tassels you can add extra to. They run about $2 apiece so your website is a much better deal!
