I found one called file organizer and it already have the folders all you have to do it put the design in it. and if you need more folders you can add.
I go to view at the top of the page and click on thumbnails, that way I can see designs in the folder and the design pics are big enuff for me to see
I use the 4D embroidery system, and I really like it. It is pretty expensive though, but I got it at a discounted rate with my machine.
I like the Sewiconz basic program because it was cheap and it does just what I wanted. It only shows me a picture of what's in each file. Nothing fancy. Works great. Good luck deciding on something. There are a lot of good programs out there. Try to decide what you want it to do before you purchase. Take advantage of trials to see if it is easy for you to use.
Mike&Cheri Welcomt to ou cute site, we haven't met but I'm proud to meet u & tell u how glad we r to have u with us.
If you are only looking for something that shows you a "picture" of what your design looks like, you can purchase SewIConz for $20.00 and you can "see" what you have downloaded. I also have Artista, but it is pricy and does other things. There is a trial version if you want to check it out first.
I'm also looking for the same things. I did buy Deduper to help reduce the number of files by deleting duplicates. It seems to do a good job. I organize designs by category and site, but I'm looking for a program to be able to see the designs without opening the file. The other two I'm considering are Embird Iconizer and SewWhat's SewIconz. Any experiece with either of these as well as BuzzExplore? I've read SewIconz runs by itself as a separate program - I'm not sure if the other two do? And is it best to stay with the same line of programs so they work together? Thanks for any discussion!
I do not use any software I use my filing system kind of what ssarner explained.
I don't, but I want to Welcome you to Cute and give you a flower. I see you have some great answers.
One trick that I taught myself is everytime I get an embroidery design either download free or buy, I will also download the embroidery design picture and name them the same name. Of course, the picture will be with either .jpg or .gif extension and embroidery design will b with .pes, .vps or .vip extension. That way the picture file wll always stay next to the embroidery file that I don't need to open any extra embroidery software to view the embroidery design. Hope that will help.
I use buzz explore. with this you can make your own catagories ex. floral, Christmas, alphabets, etc. I really like this program because I can also convert the designs to my machine format with it. Also resize designs. I ordered my copy from sewforless.com. It came with everything you need.
I use Studio Gallery... very easy software to learn. ;-) Not too expensive either. Usually you can pick a copy up off of Ebay.
I don't use any but I'm sure you will have many good answers. I want to say Welcome to Cute.
U can use Embird. it is really good soft
