This one was done for a friend. I decided not to sew on paper this time and I think this idea could grow on me...put a gathered frill on the top section and velcro on back to close it.

yes Meg, she loved it and I gave her a hand towel to match. I really like this idea for myself.. didn't get it finished when I wanted but wasn't too late in giving her.

I agree with all the comments here - this cuff is a great idea. Now I'll have to start a different project today - instead of a pillow with leaves, a usable cuff with leaves! Thank you for sharing.

I like your toilet paper cuff very much - so pretty! And you can use it over and over! I may have to try this - think I like it better than sewing on the TP!

Me too and I like the idea of calling them cuffs. MAKES SENCE!!

This is lovely! The colors are so well chosen, and the work looks just so pretty. Did you make a "bottom" for it or is it just like a wrap around? I really like it much better than the toilet paper embroidery. My children think that it is embarrassing giving someone an embroidered toilet paper. I myself like it, but... not everybody likes it.

Thank you, no I did not make a bottom for it. Just the wrap.

I think this is a much better idea. I would HATE to be in a situation where I needed the TP, then to find an embroidered one! Just not sure I could tear off the embroidered portion and use it. Making a cuff that can be used over andover makes so much more sence. By the way, I do like your choice of designs. Very nice indeed.

I agree, though, the embroidered ones look so pretty in the basket when you give them away!

grannyo by grannyo 15 Oct 2008

I agree with you. I would be hard pressed if I got embroidered TP. I could never break down and use any of it. I would have to put up a shelf just to display it.
