Answering your followup question to mops: You can hoop the napkin if you wish, but you don't have to. You can use a basting stitch to hold it, or pins, or sticky stabilizer. Here is a place where the magna hoop really comes in handy for those of you who have asked about it.;)

I don't think I'll hoop. I usually do better with placement. How far un in inch. does my design need to start? That's usually where I mess up. Thank you for taking the time to answer.

Usually a corner, but it depends on how it will be folded :)

I usually place it in a corner, on the diagonal. Easiest way to do it, is by hooping the stabilizer and placing the corner of the napkin on top.
