we were sitting there. I bet we didn't have 50 people show up and most of them were just lookers. The majority of sales were between the vendors. I sold the white lace ornament set and took some special orders. Answered a lot of questions and turned down some ridiculous offers. Well I have plenty of merchandise left for the next craft fair. Trying to get one in next weekend. Thanks for all the comments on my stuff, and the well wishes. Didn't work this time. Better luck next time!!

Oh, I'm so sorry!!! I used to be in advertising, and sometimes the hardest thing to get these fundraiser organizers to understand is that you have to get the word out to people, and that you need a separate person dedicated to doing just that. You need a 'talker', somebody not afraid to ask for free advertising, too. What a colossal bummer, after all that work! Our church did a bake sale like that once, and the only purchasers were other vendors or parishioners. I'm afraid in this economy, even with advertising, there's gonna be a lot more lookers than buyers. Like BLHamblen said, it's gonna be a loooooong winter! Hope things get better for you after this disappointment. Hugs, Marji

I'm thinking that this is happening at MOST of the craft fair's this year. I was at one saturday and sold 1 scarf.Didn't even make my table $$. I've done three since Oct. 1 and still haven't sold 1 ornament..sold fleece hats(4) at one sale that was outside and it was cold. Nobody is buying, lots of lookers as you said..Going to be a LONG winter :(
