Donna Lee, so happy that you have it working again - I just hate being without mine, too!
Yeah, things kept going through my head about what I could be doing. I was getting so depressed. I called people and told them of my problems. Everyone was OK with the delay. I almost felt un-needed. lol *
Great!!! Doesn't it just seem that sometimes these machines are out to get us? I was having problems with my bobbin thread on that kitty purse. The bobbin was squealing like a pig. It was a half-used bobbin, and it hadn't done that before. No dust, no threads, took it all apart, still squealing. Changed bobbins, new one ok. Put old one back in, still squealing. Just used new bobbin. Going back in there now to wind another bobbin & see what happens, because I have to have the same thread in bobbin & top. Sometimes I think these machines were designed to drive us nuts?? Glad you got yours fixed. Sometimes I find when bobbins get near the end, **only on some stitches**, they don't work well. Doing happy dance for you! Marji
I'm glad changing your bobbin worked for you. That noise would really throw me for a loop. Last night my bobbin got jammed kitty-cornered. I didn't know it could even fit that way. I had to cut it out. All the thread was pulled away from the bobbin shaft. I figure that my prewound bobbin may have been faulty. At that point I just get up and walk away for awhile. I get frustrated and feel the need to get away and rest from it. I figure sewing is supposed to be relaxing, as soon as it stops being relaxing I need to stop. Afterall, it is a hobby. hehehe Yes, sometimes it does seem to feel that these machines are out to get us. But then I have never had to take my machine in to be repaired. This is the closest I have ever gotten. My son bought it for me as a Christmas present 7 years ago. It has served me so well.
LOL I know I'd like to pull mine out sometime too. glad you r back n business though. Nothing like an ornery machine, & heaven help me if I have to cart it off to b fixed. *
I wasn't enjoying the idea at all. I didn't want to have to revert back to my ancient sewing machine which isn't an embroidery machine. Plus, it hasn't been used in so many years, it would probably freeze. *
Well done on fixing it yourself!! *4U
Thanks, I'm not much at dealing with machinery. I have gone back to using that cone of cheap thread with no problems now. So, I'm guessing that I solved the problem by taking screwdriver in hand and giving it the Chubby Checker (giving it a Twist). :-) *
I am so happy to hear that. Just couldn't picture you bald.
Glad to hear you are back up and stitching again. So glad you didn't loose all your hair. :)
