Putting on hand (body)lotion on your legs, prevent the static of a dress or underwear to cling. Maybe this will help if you put on some hand lotion before handling your thread??? I mean ... on your hands ... not on the thread!!! LOL

I also have this problem. I can't get the snipped off bits of thread to go into the wastebin, they just cling to my hands and fingers!!! *4U

Hi!
use one part fabric softener to ten parts of water in a spray bottle. Spray the floor and surrounding areas. DO NOT SPRAY THE MACHINE. You may also spray yourself. Also, get an anti-static floor mat from an office supply store.
You may also insert a straw on the spool pin to straightn the thread a bit, especially metalic threads. If all else fails, get a Humidity Monitor
at Home Supply store.
Hope this helps. Happy stitching. You guys are doing a great job. Sukiray

I have never had that problem but I know they do sell an anti-static spray specially for fabrics to prevent clinging and shocks.

Just recently I read that putting your thread in the freezer for about 2 hours will help. Also, they mentioned spraying the air with fabric softener and water mixture.

Freezer damages thread. It removes the moisture.;)

rub on you hair and hands and cloth. I used it to wipe around the cutting table and even my embroidery machine.
