I made this in Memory of my dear Mother in law. My husbands sister found some fabric scraps and thought that I would do something with it. ( and all the nic nacks) So I made the wall hanging. I cried all the way through as I could rememer some of the fabrics she used. The dress that she wore to My s-i-l wedding and mine. We could just picture her ( with hat on) going to visit her mother. When the hanger was finished, my s-i-l Cried too. It was very healing for both of us The bottons and belt buckles she had kept, plus the garter holder and the bobbin for tatting the hook to do up the buttons on the "Mutton sleeves" we think

Wonderful quilt, so many memories and so pretty to look at. I have a bagful of my mother's scraps, but never even thought of doing something like this. What a great idea! Flower for showing.

I've been asked by a dear friend to make a quilt out of clothes from her son that died several years ago. This gives me a good idea for it. Thanks. *4U

It was to be bigger, but the squares were so small I gave it up. Thought it was big enough. Hope you manage to do yours too

What a wonderful idea, I have lots of bits and pieces that my mother left behind too. I think this is a wonderful tribute to someone special.
