Rossie, I use overlock thread all the time for FSL - of coarse - if the design is dense it might not work as well and can have alot of fuzzies - but cleaning the bobbin area each time - helps. This is lovely and I would try it again with another thread to see if you like it better. Good work!
thank YOU shirlener. I appreciate your help as you are the FSL "queen" I will try again. I do havesome better overlocker thread that I used for the "Rose tablecloth" I"ll try that Ta much
Roslyn U do such beautiful work. Please tell me what spat the Dummy means. *4U
Oh, Lillian, I think that I've opened a can of worms with that saying. It means. to give it up- toss it the towel or it can also mean have a hissy fit. Hope that will help you with our slang.
Very nice squares, lovely colour. I have also used overlock thread, a thin one, 120/2, brand name Serafil. I bought a 5000m cone for a lycra bathing suit. The shop owner recommended winding a couple of bobbins and using those instead of buying 3 cones and told me it could be used for sewing as well. And when I tried it for FSL it performed better than expected.
Lucky you. I think that this design was just a bit too dense. But I will try again as I bought 2 reels of the thread. Silly me Thank you mops
