hang in there thing will be better with time...and besides you need to get up close and personal with your machine...lol
Kerry, enjoy the quiet and have a well deserved break. Keep yourself busy and push all those bad thoughts away to the back of your mind.
It's probably going to be more difficult to do that for a while since you have also lost your little Black Bennie,,,, so as hard as this next suggestion may sound to do, please give it some thought.
Go to the nearest animal rescue shelter and save some precious moggy from the gas chamber by giving it a good home with a loving mum.
Bennie will understand, in fact, it will be honouring him because he will know his presence meant so much to you that you couldn't stand being without a soft furry companion.
And if you'd like to stay really busy, i know a (would be) digitiser who could give you some designs to test stitch. LOL!!!! ;-)
and if you don't feel like doing that you can always start spring cleaning. (yeah, right!!! hahahaha!)
I'm always here if you want to write.....
hugs n roses, me

I cried for two days when my daughter left home for university; thought this is ridicoulous so buried myself in sewing and coffee with friends. Then my son left home . . . . . so I took over their rooms and filled them with fabric LOL
Actually, my daughter had a special cottage down the back and a friend said yesterday that I should move my sewing room in there. But I want to save it for her special return visits....maybe I will fill it with country sewing projects if I bought more fabric I am sure DH would leave home also.......
Get busy kezza & stay that way, Mayb she can use some things u make in her new home. Invite someone over or better yet, u go & visit.Keeping yourself busy is the key to combat the feeling of loss you'll have with them moving out *4U
busy is what I need for sure Lillian. Roslyn and I do plan to do a (sewing over) together soon.
Being here with our friends. Watching a comedy. Thinking of a project to make to take to them when you go visit. Not sure what size your machine is but these are gorgeous and you did say shopping not hunting lol.
