I think we've all had those days (if not, we will). I find that there are times when my machine just wants a break, so I shut her down & go back to her later & she works fine. Hopefully some of the great advice below gets you up and running again.

Wow, guys, must be a grimlin out there somewhere. I had this thread problem a few weeks ago. Had little bits of thread caught in the upper tension discs. I used a piece of pearl cotton to thread the machine and gently pulled it thru to the bottom...flossing as it went. It removed a bunch of little ends. The top problem left me with bits in the bobbin area, too. I removed the plate, bobbin and case holder. Took tweezers and cleaned out all I could then used a Qtip to get the fuzz. Probably a good vacuuming would have worked too. I am concerned about too much suction pulling something out of place. Anyway a good clean on top and bottom did the trick. If I don't change needles often enough I get thread shreds which brings all this on. Good luck ladies

After reading the above note and the one further down one can only hope that this was your worst sewing day. Happy sewing - next time

Boy, it must have been that kind of day for embroidery, I had nothing but trouble, too. My machine is going to the shop, though, because all the cleaning in the world didn't help. Something is under that bobbin race, and I can't unloosen the screw to get it out!! Grrrr. I'm going to have them loosen all of them, then not tighten them down so much if I have to do this again. Best of luck to everybody, Marji

Bless your heart cracker, I think we have just about all been there & done that at one time or another. It is a learning experience. It will get easier. It might very well have been your design at fault. always try, new needle, different thread, a new bobbin, b sure machine is cleaned out well,. It could b stabilizer, fabric, a lot of variables. Walk away & come back. b sure & put anbiotic ointment on finger. Bet u don't do that again. *4U

My machine keep pulling the top thread into the bobbin area and making a mess...I did have a half-circle chip out of the bobbin case...I will try misscharlie's idea and file it down a little. I ordered a new bobbin case two weeks ago, but it hasn't come in yet UGH!!! (60.00) What the Heck!!!

I had a problem like that with my old machine..apparently the feeder dogs were not staying down all the way and kept snagging on the material causing everything to break. check and see if that is causing mayhem.

Cleaned everything and started again... going great until I put my finger too close to the needle. You guessed it... I SEWED IT!!! I about fainted!!! Through the nail and all. I hit the stop button, cut the thread, removed the needle from the needle holder and called for my hubby to HELP. he about fainted. we removed the needle, thread (green and red now) cleaned it up and bandaged it. I only wanted to pull a loose thread out! Bet i don't do that one again. Sure is sore. Now I have to start all over AGAIN.

I had a problem like that one time I rethreaded the machine, changed the needle, changed the bobbin thread and nothing worked. Then I took the bobbin housing out and there was a gauge in the bobbin casing! I took an emory board to it and filed it down and it ran perfect after that. So make sure you look for any burrs on your casing and plate, they will cause all kinds of headaches. GL *

Hi, You might try cleaning the bobbin case, new needle and different stablilizer or different fabric. I would also try different design. It maybe only that. I wish you luck.
