I had trouble with those angels too. It turned out to be they didn't convert right. I started over and converted them in a different software. I didn't have any more trouble after that.
Heard a lot here about slowing down he machine...I had never thought of that and have not had too many problems but I am gin to try it on my next FSL..maybe mine will turn out like Shirlene's...Thanks for the question.
I see you've got a number of answers to which I've nothing to add. I hope it works out for you now. Here's a flower.
bLACKIE, slow machine down to slowest speed. Use same thread n bobbin u have on top, Use 2 layers of WSS. this should do the trick. *4U
I do a lot of FSL designs. This is what works for me. Use 2 layers of Vilene WWS each going a different directions and pulled tight. Use the smallest hoop for the design. Sew at a slow speed and reduce the top tension to 2.3. (I sew regular designs at 3.0). I use Rayon and Poly 40 wt. thread and prewound bobbins. I hope this helps.
Mornin...I found that using prewound bobbins for FSL was the trick 4 me :) Good Luck..it is addicting.
Hi Blackie, I love FSL and I only ever use 2 layers of WSS. I know that some designs I have no trouble at all and others I do, are you talking about the angels from "tavernmaker" I made one of these today and I had to slow my speed down to the lowest, and I still had some cotton breakages. Whether or not this might help, have you cleaned out your bobbin area? Good Luck!!!
Hi Sherylac, yes they are the angels u are tlaking about. Never thought about slowing the machine speed down. Will give that a go and thanks will also check the bobbin case. You are a darl' LOL
My machine doesnt have the 'slow down' feature for embroidering, so I have to use 4 layers of WSS. It works well that way.
