We are going out for dinner tomorrow night but the way the rain is going, we could be swimming to our destination!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live about 1 and half hours west of Caboolture, so far this month we have had 4 inches of rain. This has filled our 4 x 5,000 gallon tanks. Mind you we only survive on rain water, no town water. So we are always aware of treating it as like gold...our tanks were not empty before this month so it just topped them up nicely... but mind you we can go for 9 mths without a drop of rain sometimes....
25546Michele wasn' it a good storm? Was at my daughters at samsonvale/daybro I had lived in t'ville for 13yrs and NEVER had i seen a storm/squall come thru like this one. Was a mini cyclone. Luckly we only had some minor water damage inside, but the flooding outsde was awesome. Came home thru The Gap. Very much a disaster zone. Rain all the way home (1300Klm) So much for a nice sunny holiday! Hopefully next visit i would like to meet with you & shirley, Among a few others. Cheers for now. Yep, not wet yet. Managed to go out this morning and get the groceries incase I get stuck home for another 3 days!!!! Sunshine now.....

Good morning, well it has stopped raining for now. I can see the sun trying to shine through the clouds....Yes it absolutley poured all night....I might be able to swim to the shops today....

we watched the radar looked like caboolture got the worse last night , we had heavy rain ,but nothing like sunday ,I have to go to Brisbane today hope I don't have to swim home ,don't think we will be going to morton on the weekend but we might have to use the boat if the rain keeps up TV is telling us there is more to come

Hi, I think Belmaine is ok. They are in another state....Sydney..NSW......We are in Queensland....Don`t worry....
1102Manami said that u guys down under use rain catcher. It is probably full. I love the idea that catch the rain. It is so environmental health. The rain probably will stop by 2morrow. Raining also make sleeping better. Hope u have sweet dream.

Yes, most of us have rainwater tanks to catch the water. We only got ours today and it is not connected yet, so the rain is going to waste....Yes hopefully will sleep well tonight......sweet dreams....

I think only in Australia water tank is used. Never seen in other countries I've visited. It is actually a good idea for the environment, SSarner.
