exceeded the Medicare threshhold.

I visited the Oral n Maximilo Specialists this morning and FINALLY, someone has put a name on my jaw infection: Osteomyelitis. Hmmm!!!???

http://www.medterms.com/script/ma...

I've already had another blood test done today, anyone need a pin cushion? I'm getting good at it! LOL!
I have bookings for C-T Scans and bone scans. I've had more photo's taken that Paris & her pooch, now. LOL!!

Well at least I can see a pin spot of light at the end of the tunnel now. But I have a feeling the cure for this is going to be worse than the lumps in my boob, I can live without my boob, but I really DO still enjoy eating. LOL!!!

hugs n roses to all, Meganne

Hey Girlfriend,
I know just what your talking about, a few years back I went from one dr. to other trying to get someone to help me with my back and leg pain. And while I was doing that I had to have two other surgeries. I was so sick, It took them 14 sticks to get a vain to start my IV in. finally had to put it in my right thum. and I am right handed. And some of the medicines dueing operation made my hand swell up. So I am keepping you in my thoughts and prayer. sweety.

hi Meganne, im glad to hear that one thing has been diagnosed!! and now maybe they can start on the path to fixing it!! I hope they can soon solve the other questions soon too!!
it is good to have a sense of humour.. if not the depression can get you down!!
my sister was sick with crohns for 8/9 years before they finally diagnosed her.. and she was vomiting fecal matter and had to have emergency surgery to remove over 18inches of her intestines... that doctor said if they didnt figure it out when they did <3weeks before her 18th bday> she wouldn't have lived to see her 18th birthday... she was starving to death!! and she had been sick for so long she was so depressed and was starting to give up!!
well on a brighter note it has been over a year since her surgery and she is well on the road to recovery!! i forgot how crazed her sense of humour was though.. lol!! sorry a little off topic... but..
I hope everything goes well!!

I just keep reminding myself there are plenty of others who are far worse off than I am.
But I do want to scream the warning to everyone to get regular dental checkups, I only missed 4 years and if I hadn't all this would have been avoided. hugs n roses, m

Meg, U haven't been taking Fosamax have u?. What u have is a sometimes Side effect of taking this drug. I know because I have an Aunt that has just had to have plastic surgery to rebuild her jawbone & that is what they said caused the deteriation, Fosamax. that is a drug they give to women to build strong bones( Now isn't that a hoot) yet it causes jaw bone deteriation.

NO thank Heavens, my sister takes Fosamax,(she has Osteoporosis) but I take as few drugs as possible, I have to be dying or beyond my pain endurance limit, then I'd rather drink a straight Scotch, no just kidding!
My bone density tests were good, I've been taking Calcium for over 30 years since I was diagnosed with a milk allergy. But thanks for the thoughts.

OH my dear Meg - you have been through it - have you not? I am so happy to hear that they are getting to the bottom of this - so to speak - knowing a name - helps - some - finding out more - will be difficult to say the least. Ray and you are a pair - that is for sure - you just keep doing what you are doing - because so far it is working - you promised him many years - so you shall have them. All this stuff you are going through is preparing you for the future - hopefully blissful future. All my love and you will be in my prayers forever and a day.

I'm glad you are overcoming all these with a good sense of humor, Meganne. There is a saying that 'laugh is the best medicine'. I'm also sure that all Cuties are praying for you, and I believe that has power. Keep on smiling, my friend.

Oh dear Meg, you certainly are going through the mill lately, but at least finding the name to this problem may help a little. Now they can treat it hopefully, did they say how you got it.
I don't know how you keep your sense of humor up, but keep it happening for sure, we love you.

Hey Kerry, we haven't got that far yet, I think there will be more tests to try and discover the depth of this infection. If you checked the link and read through some of the ramifications, it is really quite scary, especially if it turns out I am a carrier of salmonella, that would be disastrous.
How I got it, Heaven only knows, how long have I had it in my system waiting to raise its ugly head??? I could have got it when I had the farm with horses, cows, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats & ducks. It could have been when I was managing a Hot Chicken shop, plenty of opportunities to pick it up there, it could have been from drinking egg flips, (made with raw eggs) It could even have been from one of the many surgeries I have had over the years, or even from previous dental work done on the teeth on this side of my mouth. I've certainly had a lot of painful problems in the teeth on the left side of my mouth going back about ten years all told. Salmonella is world wide problem.
At least I know it wasn't from poor hygeine as I am obsessive, compulsive cleaning my hands, I am constantly scrubbing them with a nail brush and antiseptic wash, it's a wonder i have any skin left. LOL!

As far as laughter goes, I guess if I was a guy, Aussies would call me a Larrikin. LOL! You should have heard Ray and I with the Breast Surgeon, when we walked back out into the waiting room, everyone was staring at us like we must be mad, they could obviously hear the laughter coming from the surgery. :-}}}

Meganne, you make me laugh and cry for you at the same time. You still seem to have a couple of antidotes for getting too depressed by all this: your rather black sense of humour and digitizing for days on end. I hope it keeps you going until your problems are solved. Hugs and roses for you!!

As the saying goes: "Laughter is the best medicine."
My normal demeanor is upbeat and happy but believe me, I have my bad days and this has been tough, when i'm not laughing, i'm crying..
Ray is my rock, we laugh a lot and we both lift each other. I figure I have to be stronger for him since he lost his first wife to Melanoma & I know he is worried but trying to hide it from me. That is why I am so grateful to have my Cute family to come to.
I do love you all. hnr, M

Life would be the pits if we couldn't laugh, especially at ourselves.
I can't eat chocolate either, can't even drink it, and Oh what I wouldn't give to be able to have the occasional Iced chocolate with lashings of ice-cream and cream on top, or a hot chocolate with marshmallows swimming on the surface, (big sigh) but you know there might be a great big bonus being fed through a tube, I might lose some weight, teeheehee!!! hugs n roses, M
