Lillian, In answer to your question...last night I tried to add an avatar...it was one of the sayings from the "Dali Mamas" goes something like: I used to burn my candle at both ends...now I can't even find the matches! BTW...I can see my avatar didn't "stick"...so that's another thing I'd like to get done, before I get back to my endless priority "to do" list...but U know...after several years with my "nose to the grindstone" and a diagnosis of disseminated Lyme Disease (that left me with some faulty verbal skills and a bit of a crippled short term memory)...I decided the only way to move forward was to...take one day at a time...I'm still about 10 years behind...butttttt...................
Well, hello to everyone, I don't have a DH to deal with, sometimes its a blessing and then other times its not! Anyway, I have a 25 year old son at home, and I will say he is lovely, and yes I agree with camylow, you can never get enough fabric etc... and its great the Meganne is home!!
Yes I know the feeling. You know right this minute while I am writing this my husband is sorting out the filing cabinet. He wants me to go through it now. I am not in the mood right now. I am busy with my friends on cute...lol It`s hot and I am not clearing out the filing cabinet now. The woman has spoken......When I am ready (next year) it will get done. lol maybe. Happy meg is back too.
Oh yes, I know the feeling! My kids are telling me I have to finish all my projects and clean out all hobby materials (tell my husband the same about his hobbies and books) because when something should happen to us they'll just hire a huge container and dump the lot. And then they ask if I could possibly re do their curtains, sew some clothes and so on. And when I get everything more or less streamlined there's a health problem, here of with one of them... I love being here!!
Oh yes I do know the feeling. Spent 2 and half hours outside mowing and cleaning up because of the arthritus in both hands, I had to have a rest they were so sore. Now it is so hot here at present and having trouble getting going again. Plenty to do. More outside work (lots), dishes, house cleaning, sewing, the lists goes on......
Glad Meg is home.
Lilian, I am at that point also. I mean in everything...a long story to tell here, but anyway, I'm trying to go 'against all odds', and my Cute friends are making everything easier to go through. Thank you Lilian, for your presence in every post I write...I really admire your kindness and thoughtful heart!
I never seem to get anything accomplished. I just finished creating my sewing room when I had to completely move it into my bedroom because my kids (3) all are moving back in. I didn't realize how much material and things I had stored up. My Hubby just shook his head and asked where it all came from. Love the fabrics, you know. Never can get enough. Now I have to figure out my sewing area all over again.
That's why today is a day of rest so that we can gear up for the week ahead.;)
Yes to your question and I am keeping Meganne in my thoughts
Lillian my dear sweet friend, let me ask you this... Why is it when you start to get caught up you take on more? LOL you know if you had 30 spare minutes in a day you would be bored to tears! You are a kind and giving lady I knew that from the get go, so it is in your nature to keep a look out for the next thing that has to get done and more often than not the majority of the "the next thing's" are never for yourself. So if you find yourself with that 30 minutes on your hands sit down take a rest and know how much you are loved. xoxox *
I don't know charlie,It's just if it gets done I gotta do it or it won't get done. LOL sometimes u r right on the money. *4U
Meg is home now and I said a prayer for her. I always remember the saying that goes something like this,I take 2 steps forward and get pushed 3 steps back. I never expect to ever get all caught up,too much to do and not enough hours.I just learned to go with the flow and stay above water, and take 1 day at a time. Make sure you take time for you, and take care of yourself.Sorry you're having a tough time, but it will get better.XXX n ***
I am right there with you friend. I buy the fabric like some buy shoes or whatever... hehe. I have got to get busy and use some of this up and pass it on. Durning the summer I had to do the outside things so maybe I will get started on "catching up" haha
Pafhin I'm so glad u'r gonna b around a while. Like u I have all the outside things to take care of also. I love the summer but it wears me out. I get depressed n winter, not enough sunshinel *4U
Lill you will have to stay on Cute more to receive all of that sunshine in the winter months.
;-)
Meg is home!
