water sprays. Puss was asleep on a garden chair opened one eye and went back to sleep. My staffy dog climed into his bed. I yelled out to my daughter to bring the spade. Her reply was sorry i'm getting dressed. You guessed it,the snake has his freedom, and i embroidered in the aircon room. cheers MERRY CHRISTMASS.

That would have helped me make up my mind also. Leave the gardening for another day and take the spade along with you when you do so. Embroidery by a window to enjoy both. ;-)

I had a brown in my vege patch recently, he did get away and the neighbour said he saw it, and it was BIG, I only saw the tail end. Still trying to work out why God created snakes.....

You know about 6 months ago, my 2 dogs were barking in the laundry, and there on the outside of the window was a SNAKE!!! I can remember I ran around the house locked the doors, closed all of the windows and stood in the middle of the house!! Then a few days later that snake was back in a tree in my yard, called a snake handler and then he expected me to hold the net to catch the snake!!!! Boy did I run!!

Yikes!! My brother in law keeps wanting us to visit him in Australia - but just the thought of snakes is enough to keep me this side of the ocean!

I've lived in Australia all of my 40 years. Have never come across a snake, unless it was in a cage, even though there is bushland everywhere.

toet by toet 26 Nov 2008

It is only because it has been very hot the last week. Hopefully we have no more as the wet season is upon us now. cheers ******4U

I must admit that i have kept out of the garden the last few days. Today i made a bag out of two teatowels, and handles from spotlight at my quilying group. We had our first ever male new member today. Most of the ladys were ok but some just could not concentrate. I wish you could have been there.

Ah yes, well, i think the cat and dog both had the right idea, leave well enough alone and walk away in the opposite direction, (preferably as fast as my feet will walk). LOL! hugs n roses, m
