As a newbie myself, I can relate. I've been trying to follow the crowd here, while clicking all the links and trying to figure out what they all do (and what they are meant to do). It's a great place to be with some wonderful & helpful people. I'm so excited to be part of it, and hope we can get on the same page to make this as much fun for everyone involved as possible.
I think it's a shame the Topic tags aren't more frequently used; at first I added them to posts not my own, especially if I wanted to be able to find them again. So in "Flowers" for instance you can find what the flowers are for. But also the Hurray I've got xxx flowers, alas, which makes looking for the answer difficult. "Tips" contains a number of tips or questions for help, but also questions on digitizing, which has a separate tag. So that's not a great help either and now I mostly look at "voting-requests" and only as time allows in "General". Since we have the Personal tab I look for health and so under that tab. Too time consuming to wade through the rest. Maybe before we lay the burden on Veronika we could discipline ourselves and use the topics on the left as well as the tabs.
You are right and I am trying to make sure I use the right tab when I post.If everyone would understand how to do this it would make it alot easier to find what you are looking for that day,and you still could look under general which would have all topics in it.I think alot of cuties just don't know what topic should go where and I admit I am still learning things all the time.
well put. I am still learning about places here at cute. So much to do here. I think I have it down pat now. But not sure.

I have mentioned elsewhere tonight, that the request, for Guidelines to Cute site, has been put to Miss V in the past. I am sure it has not been done only because she has been so busy creating and setting up all the other improvements and still trying to keep up with her digitising, which is how she makes her living. As a former IT manager I can assure you all the improvements are extremely time consuming, so prioritising becomes essential when you have a site that keeps growing in popularity every day. Perhaps it is timely now, to make another personal request to Miss V to review this much needed Site guidelines tab and perhaps make it a priority. hugs n roses, Meganne
Actually I agree with you, it was through trial and error that I worked out some sections and also through the help from friends already here, but, I look forward everyday to see what is happening and where!!
The topics are to the left of the page and you can put your post under one of those and you can find what posts interest you but first when making a post look to the bottom of page and it will ask you what catagorie you want .
I have not been here that long either and when I began I had the same thoughts you are having. Thank you for expressing them. *4U
Thanks for letting me know that I am not the only one that felt that way. *4U
oh my i wish i could help you on this one but here it is as i will try the tabs are all different as u can see very top right there are community where you put all questions in about embroidery the reviews tab is about the machine u use and how u like it the projects is where you put things that you make in bookmarks is where the fee links are to go but me personally i do not mess with that tab i got burned once there will not do it again now there are 3 more tabs the kind of above the names public is what you want everyone to see private is where you send a personal is where you would of posted about the babies and their surgery or whatever is on your mind and private is where you can send someone a private message by clicking on their name there will be a tab you can click on it says private message and the message will go to that person only i hope this helped you some i have been here almost a year and still get confused on who is the boss lol
Thanks Mary. Sweet for you to try to explain. I understand all the ones on the top, but then there are the ones on the left Like "Birthday,(last I checked September was the last time posted in that category) cute, help, humor, hunt, loretta" etc. No wonder things get posted in general. When I came first I checked those and saw that most of them were not being used. Consequently i went to the default which is GENERAL. *to U. I hope you feel better soon.
when you click on the buttons on the left - the only thing it will do - is bring up any Q&A that someone has but that tag on - or has that word in the content of the Q&A - OK?
Angie, you do wonderful in expressing your feelings and concerns - perhaps you can make a suggestion to Veronika to met those needs - she always listens when one has concerns - I like your thinking and so happy that you posted this. I think guidelines would be great to have for each of us to help guide us along. Best wishes to you and yours.
It is posted under Community suggestions, but my post got cut of. Would that be the Category for Veronika? I kind of messed up the continuation of it all. Oh well.
You can use either the contact us button at the bottom of the page or you can use the private message tab - in this section. You will have to use the her sign in name - Test - to get it to her. Good luck Angie. You can PM anyone with their signin name.
I am going to try again
I need to express what I feel right now and I am going to post this here because I don’t know where else. I have not been a member of Cuties very long and I loved the site. However as a new comer I found there were no guidelines how to use the site. Consequently you look and watch and post in general. I didn’t even know what the bookmark tag was for. I never posted free designs simply because I don’t know any. I would have posted them however with the same enthusiasm as all the Cuties that had that gift of sharing. Personally I loved those posts. They helped me find other sites to buy and free download from. Since I bought a membership from Cutie’s site I never felt I was taking any business away from Veronica and I do appreciate her a lot. I found myself wondering where to post a prayer request when my grandchildren went through the kidney transplant on the 10th of this month, knowing that most people don’t read the personals, not because they don’t care, but they don’t know. I once asked what the birthday tag was for, the question of how flowers work is not answered either. One can only read posts that don’t help how they happen and don’t answer what they are for. I truly feel that an introduction to all the different categories would be an immense help. I am still trying to figure it all out. So what do we do when we want to wish Meganne well being? I don’t mind abiding by rules, but first I need to know what they are and as of now I am not sure and since I am not sure I am going to go back to watching and voting for Voting Requests.
Well stated, you have said what i wanted to say thankyou, please let this be sorted out soon,it makes me sad to see what has ocurred
Those categories on the left - are when someone puts a tag on their post - at the bottom - you can name it whatever you want - that creates a tag - then if you are looking for fsl or sergers, for example - you would click on that tag - then it should bring up any Q&A that pertains to that subject. Yours is tagged:community-suggestion. Hope this helps.
well said and I agree a site introduction explaining all features would be very helpful.I am still learning new things about this wonderful site.
completely agree about no one answering or acknowledging questions either because it was in the wrong place or not read --don't understand what to do.
