My labeler arrived yesterday. I have not tried it yet. I got the Brother PT-1880. Thanks for all the GREAT ideals ;)
O.K. true confession.....I read this 6 days ago and have been given so much grief from my family I was NOT going to answer it. I have a large pantry and in it are some rolling carts with drawers....which I labeled as to the contents, and my children, children in-law, and Hubby make constant fun of me. So you now know I am just a tad obsessive.;)
They, however, have stopped asking me where the coffee, tea, coffee filters, etc, etc are.
I bought one after i saw a lady use it for her son's birthday party....she labeled the kidsdrink cups their gift bags and even stuck them on the table so the kids knew where to sit... i talked her a little and an addiction was started.....i even label the date i buy certain things like baking powder i use it to label my disc with my embroidery files on them and pretty much everything!! this has saved MANY fights between my kids they label their toothbrushes that way they can buy the same color.... my machine even has labels that can be ironed onto clothes
I have a simple Dymo Letra Tag, and use it for everything I want a name on: glass jars, spice jars, homemade jams and chutneys, binders, magazine boxes, packets for the freezer, seed boxes, and trays with cuttings, the plastic bins in the attic (Christmas stuff, Easter), you name it I attack it with my labeler - (that would make a nice cartoon).
I have a Brother P Touch, and mine has the capability of making cloth labels, which I can put into clothing. The other labels I use for all sorts of things, even my spice jars (tops) because the paper labels washed off. Good luck, Marji
I have one the DYMO labelwriter400 and I use it to label my embroidery and frames that I make and sell, label my lace boxes, felt, coloured material you name it I label it.... even my good sissors so the bigger and smaller hands dont touch them.
Labeling! Hehehe! Sorry I couldn't resist.
Ok - sorry - I use it for labeling my filing in my closest - to locate things easier - also on decorated boxes - so you know what is in them - without lifting the top up. My Mother has them on her magizine boxes - letting her know either the name of the mag or the dates.
