if hubby has a soldering iron the grab it take one of the tips and flatten it, you now have a hot fix tool
just make sure that the tip is not too big about the size of a large pin head as it only needs to rest on the top of the gem. hold for a count of 8 . I have used my soldering iron for over four years.
I bought my hot fix wand at Michael's with a coupon...works like a charm. I buy my crystals from a store by my house... they have a website as well. Here's the link.
U got your answer, I have the Kandi's crystal crafter, which I think is about the same as the how fix wand. they look alike & work alike. Mine was given to me as a gift last christmas & I love using it. *4U
Can you tell me what the wand is called so I can look on Ebay

You seem to have your answers . Just wanted to tell you I got mine at Michaels and it is electric. I used it on my Crazy Quilt and I love it , The stones add so much to it. A flower for you
You can also look at stitched Impressions she does alot with crystals and sells them to I beleive she has info there as well. Also shoppers Rule has the tools and crystals and you set the price. Lisa
I put hot fix crystals on a pair of jeans for my daughter some 3 years ago. It has been washed umpteenth times since, and the crystal are all there. But you can always iron the backside after washing, just to make sure.
Thanks for asking, I never try. Tomorrow I will find the materials to do something.
Thank you for asking. I have never used them because I was nervous they would wash off.
I was wondering about that too! Thanks for asking, should get some good answers!
If you have the 'hot fix crystals', you will need a hot fix tool, they have them both in electric and battery. I would suggest electric. I got mine on ebay for about $7. Michael's had the ones by battery and I think JoAnns has them both. If your Walmart has a craft section you might be able to find them there. I know almost everyplace has the crystals. You can get the regular ones or the 'swarski' (wrong spelling) ones which are more expensive but shine great. They are all machine washable after applying. I think you can use an iron but it's much easier with the applicator. Also you can use the clamp type and you can get that whole set in Walmart or MIchaels, then you need the little clamps (little tiny metal clamps) and you can attach with those. Hope this has been kinda clear.
