Shirlene, we know that you are always busy. I have not been able to do any projects since Wednesday, but plan on trying to complete some things for my associates family. She has come on rough times, and being a young mother was worried about Christmas for her baby, and step daughter (age 4). So, my girls and I decided to "adopt" the family for the holiday, and have shopped and now I have to finish a couple things that I was doing for them with my embroidery and machines. I made the cutest snow hats and scarves(thanks to Miss Charlie) and need to complete these things. I put my embroidery for family gifts to the side until we could get the things ready to box up and send up to her in Tennessee. My hubby said I better call her and tell her not to buy a thing! The truck of my car is full. I hope this makes her Christmas a little easier. And Boy! has it been fun buying for little ones again!
OH Beth - I hope you share some pictures of your projects - what a big heart your and your girls have - a trunck full will cost a fortune to mail - is some going that way? I hope? What a great Christmas you will be giving that family - I commend you greatly - such love you are sharing.
It's 6 pm here and I just helped my son's girlfriends mother make 22 scarfs. The fleece ones where you cut 5 inches wide, layer 3 /4 colors and sew down the middle and then fringe the long edges?!? We got all the cutting done and sewn down the midlle..now have to cut 1/2 inch fringe...maybe tomorrow...I'm tired today!
OH Barb - please take a picture - of at least one - so we understand more of the technique - I am hands on rather than directions - lol - I know that whomever you are making them for - will love the warmth they bring. Thanks!
It's been a rain all day in SC, USA. I am listening to Bing Crosby as I type. I've finished making a stocking that my neice decorated. She did a great job. I wish I could find my camera. I would upload a picture, but I'm sure it is under my to do stuff. I also was making a dress for one of her daughters. I got to the point I needed a zipper so I stopped since I don't have it. Now I'm playing on the computer grapping every design I can and I don't have time to do. Yes, I am going crazy, but what fun.
Deb, it sounds like you need to find that camera and share that stocking with us - get to the store and buy a zipper - and continue to have fun - along the way - Hehehe! Thanks
I am going to the South Pole this Christmas because the only things I have are a Box of BonBons (Crackers) and 2 childrens books.
What happened to August, September, October & November? Did anybody see them?
LOL!
Hugs n roses, M
OH Meg, when will you ever get that machine back? I can understand why you would want to head to the South Pole, too. I have a long time without a machine and it drove me batty - no you know the reason I am that way. Hehehe!
Hi Shirlene, well the Tree Topper Angel is finished, just has to be put together, a bookmark is sewining at present to fill in sections, then there are table runners, placemats and of course some FSL to be made!!!!
Sheryl, it sounds like you are a very busy lady - you have a assembly line going on or something - maybe? Keep cranking them out - we all adore your projects. Thanks!
Hi All. I'm currently stitching out the 3rd of the TreeTopper angels. Getting ornaments and stuff ready for another craft show on the 6th. Hope I do better this time. I have not gotten or stitched a single Christmas gift. Haven't even ordered the GKs bonds yet. I'm losing my mind. Oh and it's 2;45pm on Saturday the 29th. Hope you all are more organized than me. BTW, DH is back in FL. 'til the 6th covering for his brother again.
Maryjo, I do hope that your Tree Toppers are the biggest seller - make sure you price them for the work involved - what are GKs bonds? It must be hard having your dh away - but look at it this way - it gives you more time to the the stuff for the craft show - you will get to the items for Christmas with the show is out of the way. Thanks!
Savings Bonds for the Grand Kids. I always give them each a bond for Christmas and one on their birthday.Hopefully they will use them for college tuition some day. They have to be purchased from the bank and it takes a few weeks to get them.
Trying to work on some items but not enough time. Maybe I should just start working on Valentine's stuff and jump ahead the season lol Going nuts here! hehe
adelmarie, if we were like the stores in most area's - that is exactly what we would be doing - Hehehe! Thanks!
I hope I can do for every female family member a snowflakename totebag,
I have designed the snowflakes, now I need time for sewing and stitching
Salsabil, how many female family members are you doing this for? It sounds like a great project and I do hope to see at least one of them in the project section real soon - thanks!
I just got home from Thanksgiving at my daughter's. We decided "Christmas at Grandma's and Grandpa's house" (that's me & DH) will be on the 20th. So I'm really going to be pushed to get everything done in time. Fortunately I work well under pressure. My problem is getting off the computer and on to the sewing machines. So I may be a little scarce here for the next few weeks.
Deb, you will have to get a plan and stick to it - so happy to know that you work well under pressure. A little scarce is definately understandable - but we do want to see your progress in the project section - soon. Thanks!
hi shirlene here it is 18.35 hour , so it's evening.and I'm going to stitch out this weekend some christmas-stuff.thanks for the interest or are you more curious ?hehe :)
OH you know Gerry - I am always curious to what you are up to. I do hope that you share what Christmas Stuff you are working on with us soon. Hehehe! Thanks
