It would need to connect properly with the base/grid stitches underneath, otherwise it could just fall apart when you wash out the WSS.
Mandor64's suggestion of stitching on Organza is very good as you would then be sure the name would be attached to something.
(You could also use a couple of layers of Tulle/bridal netting, it would not detract from the design and could even save you using 2 layers of WSS.
Thanks to Minniecow for telling me this idea.)
hugs n roses and please let us ALL know what you tried and if it worked for you. Meganne
Thank you Meganne, i have a few ideas now to try, i will let you all know how i went. Louise.
Hello cuties, I have never personally done it, but I would think that it depends how dense the stitching is where you want to put the name on. And maybe also, I would embroider the name twice?! If still not sure, this week-end I embroidered a FSL Angel on organza because I enlarged it from its original size. Maybe you could do the same and embroider the baubbles on organza? Good Luck, Mary
Thank you Mary, i might just try both with and without organza and see how it goes. Louise
Thank you Barb that is the question I wanted answered, can a regular font go on FSL?? Louise.
Louise, I wasn't totally sure what you were asking her - until I read it a couple times - once a design is downloaded - I believe it is yours to add to or take away from - as long as you are not intending to call it your own and resell it or share it with another - in my humble opinion, that is. Hehehe! Shirlene
Thank you Shirlene, i have been a bit confused between school and work all after something different before christmas. Louise
Hehehe! Always ask - if you need the help. I enjoy putting names on my FSL when I am giving it to someone that really is special to me, too.
