WOW Rossie, what a lot of work. Your Sister-in-law must have been estatic when you gave her this quilt. She should treasure it forever. So lovely to give these beautiful work pieces of yourself and your talants to others. Lovely work as usual. Hugs Sandra

Roslyn, You do the most beautiful work! I always look forward to seeing your new creations!
Wow! Stunning, Roslyn. Bet it's even more stunning in real life. Pretty sure that'd take me to infinity to do :) And a great ad for the sewing revolution as well. We don't hear of it as much now as we did earlier.
Thank you so much. I'm doing some projects at the moment using the sewing revolution. Verrry interesting. Coming soon to the cute web site
Wow! you are good sept to jan to finish that is great! I am in the throws of finishing one quilt as you go but it has taken me nearly 3 years as I keep putting it away to do other things. It is really beautiful and all that work. Congratulations! Sally
Thank you so much Sally. I was on a time limit with that Quilt as I was going to Darwin in the June and taking that with me, plus I had to make another Quilt for the Niece as a wedding present, Finished them both with time to spare as well. Don't worry Ive just finished a quilt I had started 4 years a go. That was put aside for other projectstoo- just like you. Ta much for your lovely comment. hugs Ros

Hi Nope no kids BUT I do have a cat that talks. Yep she speaks words! She has a 14 word vocabulary. Funniest thing ever. Suzanne
So was this totally on your sewing machine(each block i mean)Then you put it togeather??I to have never heard of the round thing.I am going to go & look .I think the quilt is excellent .You really do nice job on ALL you undertake to do :):)Carolyn
Yes Carolyn. I" Quilted as I go" That means I did the centre piece with the 3 layers. Quilted -then added the sashings with the border blocks after quilting . Then I joined them together outside was machine stitched (with right sides together) hand stitched the wadding and lastly hand stitched the backing then stitched in the ditch lastly I did the binding.
am doing that quilt now and i love it
Isn't it great. I have the fabric to do one in "pink satin" for myself but I'm going to do the one with the 5/7 sewing revolution that one was the 6/8
I am also doing this quilt, i picked six of the ones i liked and have done 2 of each. i have finished the embroidery now am quilting it ready to be put together.
Roslyn, as always, your work is amazing! I wish I had an ounce of your talent. :-)
Ah,... oh,... it's beautiful!! You must love your sister-in-law, I wouldn't do a masterpiece like this just for "anybody".. ha.. Hugs and Flowers to you, Mary
thank you Mary. Yes I do.Don't get to see her often as she lives in the "top end"
Roslyn this is just beautiful!! Your family is so lucky to have you to make them such lovely items!!
Beautiful quilt and a lot of work and time is in this quilt
thank you and yes it was a lot of time. But well worth it when you see the stunned look on Elaine's face when I put it on her bed. She thought I was putting her daughter's quilt I'd made for her wedding. Surprise
The Infinity Quilt. Ros, you had a lot of courage tackling that quilt. It looks absolutely gorgeous.Did you use the Sewing Revolution or did you measure the markings with your normal quilter's ruler?
I did use the Sewing Revolution AFTER I decoded the instructions. As I use a Brother and it was made for the Janome the distances were wrong for me. I also did them in the 4X4 not the 5x7 that the book was printed as. Once I had instruction on that it wasn't too bad. But at the beginning I was ready to jump off the nearest bridge _ BUT i'm scared of heights. heheh
I have a Janome and was thinking of doing-one day. The Sewing Revolution is awfully expensive. I was going to play with my own measurements and a quilter's ruler.
Use the measurements that are in the book. I think that you could use a quilters ruler , might be harder to do them in the circle though. Much ease with the Sewing Revolution. Good luck . Let's know how you go. Will help you if you get stuck
The Sewing Revolution is a ROUND plastic template with 1/2 " markings around it. It is 12 inches across and great for doing designs in circles and also 45 deg 60 deg and 90 deg. It was made by AnnDuncan & Kyn Gold-up-Graham or their Qwb aite www.thesewingrevolution.com.au for more info contact them and they will explain a lot better than I can. Good luck
This is absolutely beautiful! And such patience! Very well done Roslyn. Love and flowers to you from Dianne x x x
