I have a BL Ellegante II & although it's back at the factory right now I wouldn't swap for anything but an elissimo(which I cannot afford).Lucky rosie. U usually can go to BL website & find out what u need to know about the machines & their upgrades. ask your dealer about warranty , what is covered & for how long, *4U
I have an Ellisimo..that is the latest model from Baby Lock. There have been so many improvements with the generations...I would suggest contacting your local Baby Lock dealer in your area... I know mine told me that they cannot sell to people outside of their zone (for Baby Lock), per corporate rules... so I'm sure all dealers have to abide by BL's regulations.
I definitely am a BL fan! I even got one of their surgers recently and am in the process of sewing a pillow together using both machines (zipper, piping and ruffle). They're wonderful machines and will add years of enjoyment to your life.
Good luck. xoxo
I don't have a babylock but I hjope with the help from Marji that you can take a good decision. Good luck
Good advice from Marji, but this should bump you back to the top. *
Are you buying it from a dealer, Sandy? Do you trust the person you're buying it from? I don't know a lot about how one can tell if it's a 'new' machine, but I trust my dealer to tell me the truth about any of my purchases. Sometimes it seems like I have the only good dealer on the planet, but I would certainly start there. Maybe people who have Babylocks can tell you more, I have a Janome, and my dealer only sells Janome & Bernina, so I can't even ask her for you. Hope you can get some good help. Does Babylock have a website where you can check things out, maybe? Best of luck to you!! Marji
Thanks Marji, yes I'm buying from a dealer but only known her for a short time. This is the only dealer close to me, but I will check the Babylock website. *4u
Babylock Ellageo: I have the Ellageo 3;
I also have the Ellageo 1 upgraded to a 3 that I purchased from a private party. Go to the Babylock site and get Ellageo inf. Or email and ask for more specific info. You can never go wrong with a Babylock.I have a 17 year old Esante and it is still going strong. You can also purchased used.
