Don't know just why (as I probably don't have a clue) but next month after all of the craft stuff is over I am going to download the demo and see if I get it...sounds like fun but may take more brain power than I happen to have. Let us know how it goes.
Look at the tutorials Meganne mentioned, you'll get an idea of what you're getting in to. Every user I have spoken to so far is enthousiastic about it and I think you'll find it an excellent program too.
Embird is a great program. The iconizer and font plug-ins are cheap and work well. Especially the iconizer. In fact, I think it is one of the finest design programs for the price. I even wrote the business and thanked them for the product.
Peggy..
Question, does Embird Iconizer work outside of Embird? Can you look at Windows files and see the design? I've been testing SewIconz and it does what I'm explaining, but I'm also testing Embird and thinking products from the same line might work better together. BTW, I've told my husband that for my birthday right after Christmas, I want Embird!!
Solosew, as far as I know you always need Embird Basic, the rest are add-ons, not freestanding programs. Peggy, the price was one of the reasons, it's indeed value for money. Have you had it for long?
wow congrats still trying to figure mine out but reallt have not played with it much
I am sure you will enjoy using this program I have had it for 8 years and find it is great and every update gets better...congrats and enjoy mops...
Thank you, I made a design this afternoon and want to test stitch them now and start on another one. You might see some results shortly.
Good for you, Martine!! I hope you enjoy it, and make even more nice designs than you already do. Come up for air once in a while, and don't forget to eat, hee hee hee. Luv ya, Marji
Thank you, Marji. Forgetting to eat might be benefical, but my DH won't let me. I'll see what I can come up with as far as designs are concerned. *4U
YOU go Girl! It's so user friendly it almost hugs you! Have fun and remember I'm only an email away if you need anything, but you probably won't since you've already been digitising with other programs.
Don't forget to check out Clipartopolis University for free tutorials. though you probably know most of that stuff. You can also download the Embird tutorials from their website and install them in Embird where they act like help files, very handy for quick reference.
Hugs n roses, and night for now, M
I looked at all the Clipartopolis tutorials before I downloaded Embird. The ease of those Bezier nodes and the object panel were the things that let me decide to buy the program. And an acquaintance of mine happened to be the one who writes Embird lessons and tutorials in Dutch. Had a chat with her a week ago and that was the final push. Of course as soon as I know something and go on automatic pilot I left click where Embird has a RCl, but even so it's great fun.
Oh Wow, you're home n hose as they say, having a friend like that. It's a great program and so reasonably priced compared to all those (Machine Brand) programs who put such terrible limitations on their software, dongles, n licences having to be transferred from pc to laptop if you need it there and back again when you need it on your pc, and only being able to to do two installs before needing to acquire a new code from the developer, then having to PROVE you purchased it by having the original CD case. N then getting no support when you need help with "Obvious" bugs in the prgram. That is what convinced me to purchase Embird, I worked in the software industry and I have trouble accepting what Digitising Software Developers subject their customers to, it's disgraceful. But not Embird, the Bulara family are fantastic people, because they were professional embroiderers first.
hugs n roses, M
Congrats Martine , I am so proud for you Hope you have fun playing let me know how it works A flower for you

Have you been good this year, St. Nick might bring some. Now wouldn't that be great!
I'm allways be good lol That's why I hope about embird studio... and St Nicolas would bring me iconizer ha ha
Hugs from France.
Martine u r going to love it, that's what I have & I simply don't know what I would do without it. Congratulations on a great choice. *4U
I've had Husqvarna software for 9 years and the design stitch out well, but this is far more consumer friendly.
That is a great news, Martine! I got mine few weeks ago and I am enjoying it a lot. Congratulations!!!
Thank you. You know what I like in this (and missed in my old) is that you can change the starting and endpoints, makes connections so uch easier.
that is right, I like that too. I want to learn how to design FSL, it seems a dream right now.
Martine, congratulations - isn't that wonderful news - I am sure if you need a tester for your FSL - you can find one close by. Have lots of fun. Looking forward to some wonderful new projects showing your work.
I want to try and do some FSL, I have not done that with my old software, seems like a nice challenge.
