I ask myself daily... what on earth is wrong with people! Praise GOD, no one was hurt...

Thank goodness you are ok Simplyrosie!

I had a worse experience when we were held up at gunpoint at a gas station in 1991 at 08h00 on a Sunday morning on Dec 16th - 5 gunmen came to rob it whilst we were there - they took my hubby in and the driver of the getaway car came running towards me and my 2 young boys and demanded money etc whilst holding a gun to my head, threatening to shoot me! My youngest kept asking 'WHY the man wants to shoot you mommy?' and I just told them to lie down flat on the floor which was so stupid as I did not know if they were going to hi-jack the car as well! The robber kept going in and out of he car to check if anyone was coming and NO other cars or people came in during this time - just our luck OR maybe that saved our lives that day!

To this day I can remember his face as it was stuck right up close into my face as he was rummaging thru my bag which was lying at my feet - he was leaning thru from the drivers side across to the passenger side towards me - gun against my head or throat whilst the other hand was in my bag and him making his demands / threats!

What seemed like hours...3 came out of the service station waving their hands in the ANC salute laughing and singing and then shouted at him as he was not where he should have been - he then swore at me, took the car keys and ran to the getaway car - the 4 got in and then the 5th one came out also waving his hands in the ANC salute laughing and singing - got in and they drove off.

There was silence ... I was too afraid to go and look as I did not know what I would find ...not sure if there were gun shots as inside the car you are only aware of what happens there and not outside! What seemed like forever my husband came outside and told me that all was ok, nobody got hurt except the one young girl got slapped as she cheeked them!

They got away with a lot of money but not my DH's wallet as he was lying on top of it! They never got caught as the Police took there time in getting there - 2 hours!!! No fingerprints taken etc!! My jewellery, camera etc was never replaced by Insurance either as they said we are not insured by an act of 'Terrorism' and the Gas Station had signs up also that says 'Not resposible for ANY loss or Damage' - SO of course we lost out - as usual!!!

MOST traumatic experience of my life!! BUT.... WE are alive and my children & hubby were safe!!

I Thank God everyday!!!

Hope I have not bored anyone!

I'm glad no one was hurt. I sure don't miss the flying bullets. Like many have said "Where there is a will there is a way". Guns have to be regestered almost everywhere but they always find a way to get them. If there are any flying bullets near me now it must be because I look too much like a deer or moose and I'm not sure that's a good thing.

Oh my dear, I am so glad no one was hurt. This is just other sign of the times. Our Lord and saviors return must not be to long off. How much more will the bad people of this world be let to run around wild in this world of ours before God himself tell Jesus to put a stop to this maddness.
I not know about others, but I am keepping my eyes on the eastern skies. and waiting and watching for the return of Christ.
God bless and keep you all safe.

Oh yes Brenda! I'm ready...come LORD Jesus come!

I agree. People need to be studying in their Bibles about the times we are living in. The only security we have is a relationship with Jesus.

How scary!!
I'm glad I'm in Australia where people need a license to own guns and the guns have to be registered. We even had the police come to our house to check that the gun safe was bolted to the floor and locked. (I'm sure there are still people who don't though)

When I was a kid I watched the bank get robbed. I heard the shots that killed the teller, and I saw the robbers. I don't like to go in the bank!
