has anyone had problems with spyware or virus when going to the freebie sites?

Yes I have... but my SW is updated daily and scans all 3 of my computers and external drives nightly...

I had a warning once,but sorry don't remember what site it was. But I have a strong anti-virus program so they warn me if it's a virus-site.all the other sites gave me no problems.

I haven't had any problems on the free sites, but recently I had a virus warning from one of the files that had been send to me by a reputable design company. I had paid for those designs. They did resend them and they were clean.

I use AVG a freeware antivirus software. The link is..

Spyware Terminator is also a freeware software. Don't have the link for this. If you are not in broadband you will have to do the update manually. A good free firewall is Zonealarm www.zonealarm.com Hope this helps.

No never. I use Bit Defender and never have any problems when going to the free embroidery sites. Maybe you should try it next year. I am ussing it for the last 5 years and am very satisfied with it.
