Don't you just hate it when those tags are put on the clothing? Have you found your solution? Let us know how you did it. I had to take a shirt back to the store last week because they put one of those alarm tags in the neckband of a very expensive t-shirt I got my GS. It left a hole, and the one I exchanged it for had that stupid tag in the same place. It is bad that we have to have these because so many things are stolen from stores. We all pay in the end with higher prices. (()) to you.

shirlene, if you haven't solved this one yet, you could try Eucalyptus Oil, it's very good for removing sticky 'stuff'! Try all the usual before you start - like for color fastness, etc, but I've have no problems and heaps of success with this. Hugs and flowers sweetie, and hope it works.

perhaps do your embroidery on peice of fabric and applique it over the sticky place. Surgical spirit may take it out but test for colourfastness Jo

wow shirlene, you've got a lot of suggestions, I don't think I can add a new one. So I just hope something worked. If not there's only one solution left. an applique or embroidery on these leftovers. Goodluck.hugs gerry

Don't know if you've got the answer yet but try putting the top in the freezer for a while.
Might make it cold enough to peel off but not get it wet. good Luck!

Maybe a warm (NOT hot) iron from the back side will soften the glue? Try the others 1st then this as a last resort. Good luck!

I will normally recommend a product called GOO gone but since this is for a gift, I am not sure if it will work for you. The other option is using a piece of scotch tape. Place it over the glue, rub your nail over it and then pull it back quickly (may have to repeat a couple of times) but works *2U and good luck.

I did the tape - right off - it can not grab this gooed up mess, I guess.

As you can see - the label was even on the inside of these PJ's - but I was able to get most of that off. but these tiny pieces - just will not come off.

shirlener88 by shirlener88 16 Dec 2008

OK - I think I have it - rubbing alcohol and tweezers.

I'm only just awake now. You could put the ice cubes in a plastic bag so as not to wet the stuff but get it cold and hopefully less gooey. Freezer might do the trick as well or even better as it's colder.
