A big thank-you to everyone for your time and advice. I had already started to take the pocket off when I decided to see what ya'll thought about it! Great minds think alike, you know! Flowers for everyone and Merry Christmas!!
I must agree with a pocket topper or maybe monogram on the lower sleeve.
Mimi good advice from all. Unstitch bot sides of pkt. embroider then sew pkt back on.
I agree with unstitching the pocket, then sew your design on there and then stitch it up again....
I would do the same as others partly unpick pocket, embroider then restitch
I unstitch the top of the pocket on both sides and leave the bottom attached. Then stitch on the pocket and sew it back down. It only takes a few more minutes to make it look well done.;)
I agree, on the pocket. But when you're in a hurry above it.
HOW MANY TIMES DO YA USE A POCKET on a ROBE??
I'd stitch on the pocket...without removing it :)
I agree with most of the others! I pick the pocket off down to the bottom as the top is already open, then stick it to the stablizer, rotate the design so it's reading right (!) then sew the pocket back on. If you don't take it completely off, you will be sure and get it back right where it was!
Another thought would be to monogram on the opposite side if there is only one pocket. If there are two pockets then like everyone else said, time permitting take pocket off monogram it and then sew it back on robe, if there is not enough time - stitch monogram above pocket. Sue *4u & all
If you take i off I hope i is not chenille, terry or something hard to get to the stitches. Good luck.
I agree with the others, if you have time to take the pocket off, stitch on the pocket, if not, then above. Hope we get to see the finished project.
If you have the time unpick the pocket but dont take it right off. Leave the top part of the pocket attached. Hoop the atabiizer, sticky if you have, or spray or pin, then lay the pocket on the top and do the emb. Then all you have to do is stitch the pocket back in place. *4u
I agree with Shirlene. I usually embroider on the pocket, but does require removing the pocket to embroider it and stitching it back on the garment.
Well my dear - how much time do you have - you will have to unstitch to get to the pocket - so you decide - I like stitching on pockets myself - but if I am in a hurry - it goes above - let us see it in projects - when you are finished.
Of coarse - I only unstitch a portion of the pocket - leaving it in tack on the bottom - to make it much easier to restitch.
