In a word, no. Lots of software, including my Janome Digitizer Pro, has an 'auto digitize' function, but you won't be happy with it at all. Unless it is a very simple cartoon like design, and perfectly 'clean' artwork (that means no stray pixels), it won't work well. Your outlines will be off, and the software will path the design just the way it wants to, not the best way, you'll have tons of jump stitches. Cordura is right on that one, the software doesn't have to sew it out. If you're interested in learning, it's great fun. If you don't want to put the time into learning, and it does take time, just purchase well-digitized designs. Whatever you do, have fun!! Marji
Go to the Brother site. They have a free trail version of PE Design. Most programs will auto digitize, but the results are usually not that great. Even to make that feature work well, you have to do some work...
I downloaded the embird 30 days trial but can not figured it out, only the cross stich part.
Most good digitizing programs will do, however the quality of the design will not be as good as those that are manually punched.
Hi
Happy New Year.
I was looking for something simple and researched it.
The recomendation was Generations but it retails about $1800.00.
I bought it and as well as the "class" Digitize-wise.
I tried the auto digitizing of a sipmle clip art and it needed custom fixing.
I agree, nothing is that simple.
I now plan to put the class to use and learn digitizing and the software I purchased.
Most software have a free trial option.
Best of luck deciding this.

There are several titles out there that auto digitize...however you will not get the same results as if you do it manually... Try Digitize 'n Stitch... good luck. :-)
Buzz to stitches claims to do this but I do not have it so I can't vouch for it.
I have Embird 8, a good software, and there are many tutorials of how to use it. Maybe you should get a 30days try out of Embird before you decide what kind of software you really want. Hugs&*
Oh, for it to be so easy! Nothing I know of exists that can do that. Besides, you can do so much better when you do it by hand. You get to choose the starts and stops, etc. You are not at the mercy of the software and the way IT decides is the best way. IT's not the one having to stitch it out! Better to take the time to learn to do it right. The easy way isn't always the best way...
bkd I do not think any of the digitizzing SW is quite that simple. I really wish it was. I have Embirds digitizing software & I believe it is one of the simpler ones but"IT AIN'T THAT EASY". Others have done wonders with it but I simply haven't
taken the time to figure it all out. 4U
