I did get an early birthday present.
My husband bought me one of those SideWinder bobbin winders.

18727Karen, if you were having tension problems - it is best to get it fixed - that is for sure - so sorry to hear about the bibbin winder falling apart - but the early birthday present surely will help - organinze your files - while you wait and plan your first project - for when your machine comes back to you.

Oh I've got plenty to do while the machine is in the shop. I have alot of sewing to do. I have to finish the baby jackets that I started. I have napkins to make to get them ready to be embroidered on. It goes on & on & on!!! I've also got to organize my sewing/craft/computer room which is only a 10X10 room. Every wall has something on it. Plus I have a cutting table. :((
