I treat my gently and have not had to wash any but if I did I would use a gentle soap, rinse and dry them. There is a sugar solution that a friend of mine dips her crochet in and she said it made them really stiff. It calls for 1 cup sugar boiled in 1/2 cup water for 3 to 4 minutes. Let it cool and dip your FSL or crochet in it. You could put a piece of cotton in a hoop if you are working with crochet doilies to smooth them out. I have used a strong solution of the liquid starch and water and it works really well. I make FSL doilies and they are pretty. Good luck! Becky

The few that I have done , I gently whoosh around in a basin with warm water, then rinse the same. To dry I lay flat on a towel with a H/cover book on top to keep the shape. To make them more interesting lightly sprinkle with fine glitter when wet. Glitter on sale @ the moment @ S/light. Hope this helps :)

toet, so far I havent had to was any of mine & I do not have any real large pieces, when I do I will treat them as a delicate & just put them in a little warm water with delicate detergent/soap flakes & kinda whoosh them gently up & down then rinse the same way. That's how I've always done crocheted doilies.. I would lay them out to dry on heavy toweling & gently reshape if necessary, sometimes u may have to pin it out to dry, if so use only pins that will not rust. Hope this helps u *
