If you are making a fsl angel or some thing that stands just use white glue . wood glue . it is great for fsl you have to mount your lace over some thing covered in plastic wrap for to shape the item you are doing.

I use a container with warm water, dip the FSL piece in and out in about 3 seconds and it is real hard.*****

this is an old receipe which i used years ago & it worked well. Cottons ain't cottons anymore. the colour change will depend on the type of thread.
You can use your scrapes of watersolable. desolve in a small amount of water put in your FSL leave awhile, take out & hang or lay out. u will have to try out as depending on the amount of water to solve to the stiffness.

Whoa.....what a good idea...and I have lots of it.
Thanks and a flower to you.

yes this is what I would have told you as well, thats why I keep all the scraps for this reason. Also I just thought of the old fashion way that had been used for years and that is to make starch with flour and water, you cook it then let it go cold.

Thanks!! You know there are probably many ways to make a "stiffner".
