This looks lovely Roslyn, but I don't understand anything about how you did it.
thank you Iris. It is worked like a Circular Attachment. It sews in Circles, and when you've finished one round , you move the fabric to the next hole, until you've done 3,5 or 7 rows depending on what you like. After you've done the 4 circles (1/4 of fabric for each) you then do the 1/4 circles in-be-tween the full circles. Always leave an inch in the centre between each circle otherwise you'll be going over the next circle.Hope that this helps.
My goodness Rosi - when you decide to make something - you do it up big - this is lovely work - not sure I understand the technique and how you do it - I need pictures - to understand - Hehehe! Fanstastic!
thank you shirlene. Sorry I can't express myself with out using my hands to show. But you get a piece of linen say 45 " wide divide in 2 and from the centre mark a dot 1/2 in . Then divide that into 2 place a mark there (should be just under halfway from the selvege to the centre and that is where you place your tack for the centre of the circle. Using the extention table and the marked holes, place your upholstry tack in the material to hold in place with a "eraser" and then you lightly hold the material while it sews in a CIRCLE .Usually you start from the outside using a scallop edge -then when that has sewn out you move the tack-eraser still centred but move to another hole inside so that it sew 1/2 inch inside the scallop .Follow up with the next 1/4 section. mark 1/2 inch from centre This is where the scallop will run to as per diagram . from the 1/2 centre to 1/2 way to the edge allowing room for the scallop to have material near the selvedge. Can you under stand that.
Lovelyn roslyn. Isn't it nice to have talented friends? *
