As you can see from the pic. The blue felt is in the hoop. I use Super Avalon WSS. First put WSS and then the felt on top making sure that it doesn't go in the area that the design is going to be stitch in. Just put hoop on machine and stitch away. Always watch your machine because some like mine are tempermental if I go to far away. Lol. Thanks for all the compliments amd ****4u all.
That will be the Operator Absent Sensor at work ... my machine has one too. Sit over it and it will stitch out beautifully - look away for half a minute and it KNOWS and goes haywire! Lol. Thanks for the tip, by the way - I use a lot of felt and I always throw the offcuts away - now I know what to do with them!! Love and flowers from Dianne x x x
Thanks for letting me know about the "Operator Absent Sensor" didn't realise my machine had one of those. *4u
Great idea, my friend has just done my hoops for me before I seen your posting, and its great
Wow, what a great tip. I wish I had known about this idea awhile back. I'm so glad to finally know about it now! I love making FSL bowls. I use them for candy dishes and give them as gifts. I still have a lot of bowls to make so I can see myself saving all kinds of money. hehehe You are an angel. :-)
I do the the same, works great don't it? I wasted some thread a couple of times when I first tried FSL but since I started to use the felt they are perfectly fine.
thanks for this tip I'm going to have a go at my first fsl next week and need all the tips I can get :-) Jo
