You can go to the Embroidery Library. They have a wonderful video on doing lace. I use Badgemaster and only need 1 layer for my lace. They also have instructions on how to do doilies. Embroidery Library is one of my favorite sites. I have learned a lot from them.
They also have lots and lots of designs. There is something for everyone. So, take your time there and enjoy your visit.
Thanks, but I know how to stitch it out, I used yards and yards of stabelizer and thread for all the FSL I've stitched out. What I want to know is how to digitize it. I'm sure your answer and links will help others so a *4U
I'm always looking 4 tips n everything, I'll never know enough, just when I think I have something figured out, along comes something else new to me. *
Hi deb as long as it states "free standing lace" and hope that there are some instructions with the designs. I have made many fsl projects just using 2 sheets of Water Solubale Stabilizer and after stitch out cut away excess stabilizer and soak in warm tap water. (if you want it stiff, just a few minutes to remove the stickyness) (if you want it soft like lace soak over night in water after rinsing you can add fabric softner).
some designs need more than just WSS such as organza to keep the design together. My technic is sandwich organza outside 2 sheets wss inside. cut away design as close as you can to the stitching and remove the wss as above. except this will not apply to a design which you need soft as a piece of lace.
I hope this has helped I know what I mean but it is hard to get it onto paper.

Thanks, but not what I meant. I want to learn to digitize it myself. I'm very addicted to sewing it out, but would like to try creating my own.
Hi Deb, I will be putting a page of tips on my website in the next week.
Thanks, I'll be looking for it. I have DigitizerPro, 2.0MB. I don't get as much time to use it as I would like. What I have done, is not good enough to share.
