I think anyone who is in the middle of embroidery, especially, on their machines worries about what will happen if the power turns off, or something. Knowing how long some of the prep can take none of us are happy campers if interrupted; but you should be able to safely turn the embroidery off (not necessarily the machine). However, I was working on something & needed to clean under the plate, etc. Macine prompted me to turn machine off. To my surprise when turned back on again it had saved my design & where I had stopped. Another time it probably wont do a thing lol. We all understand the trials & tribulations of sewing, but we got-a love it cause we're still doing it! lol giggle, giggle. Chin's up cuties, grin *:*
Sheryl I know how you feel I moved my design and It was almost finished .I had to do something so I just stoped my machine when I come back I started to start it up and my husband ask me somethinf and I turned it off because I could not hear him. I got so mad I told him not to ask me stupid stuff when I was working in the machine I tried to go back but could not get it right. ^%%$#@%&*(&% that is how I felt.
OH NO!!! they should know better than to ask silly questions when you are in the middle of sewing lol
Sorry! I know how you feel. I had my machine shut off once while it was in the middle of embroidering something that I had changed/moved. I walked into my sewing room and touched my machine and gave it a huge shock and it went off of the embroidery mode to the sewing mode. Now I am careful not to touch my machine until I sit down in the chair. I also, try to remember how or where I have moved or changed the design. My thoughts are it is better that it was FSL than if you were embroidering something on a piece of someone's expensive clothing! Hope this helps!
That's sad!! I try to always write down the setting after I've moved the design off centre, but I can only do that on one machine, on the other I count the steps, which isn't always accurate. Flower for you to cheer you up a bit...
Oh Sheryl This is sad cause I seen it half done and it is beautiful
Onetime for me was someone stepped on my power cord & unplugged it right in the middle of FSL. I know how you feel. I sympathize with you. *4U
So soooory to hear that sherylac sweetie. I've never had that happen to me - fingers crossed. But we've had 2 *heat* related power-outs in the last couple of days - too hot to be running the embroidery machine at the time. I know how the electricity feels about the heat though - I feel like I'm having a *power-out* myself because of the heat, haha!!! Hugs and flowers to you all, and try to keep cool all you Aussies.
Sounds like you need to get a frustration doll...Punch it out instead of lights:)
I'm sorry to hear this. I try to remember to jot down my new numbers when I move from center. I learned the hard way too.
Oh bummer!! that has happened to me. I just go over what i have done if the machine stops it should start in the same place as you placed it to start with. It might be a bit more dense. or else #@#%@ and through it away. hahaha!!!
Hot Hot Hot here today 44degc. Not enjoying it.

When the power came back on the machine turned back on and was from the beginning, before you even put you ata card in. I thought of tossing it, but, it was the last panel of a fsl bowl. I'll find a way to fix it
I usually jot down the "new" numbers when I move a design...I too have had that happen! Now if it goes off, I just have to move it to match my numbers & find the stitch when I left off. However, my new Diamond will do that for me if the power goes off, or even if I just need to stop & do something else! But I still, by habit, usually write the numbers down!
What an excellent machine you have now, wish mine did that, but, will take your advice and keep a little book with the info in it
