Nice pillow. Never tried to have a decorative seam at the top, but have used it for a quick log cabin. I'll have a look at the Viking site, thank you!
lovely cushion out of offcuts, nice colour coordination. I have an overlocker but don't use it to full potential. Jo
Very nice Jerry. I have a Babylock. Have wanted to try something like this but haven't yet. I do small quilts from 4 and 6 in sqs of tee shirt material. I should take a pic and upload it.
Love your pillow. Did you use or pattern?
Only for the first piece...that greyish one that has 5 sides. It was SUPPOSED to be in the middle, but doesn't really matter! The pattern for that piece is on the Viking web site under serger projects in the "education" section.
By the way, this is from scraps left from doing a jacket on a sweatshirt...one of Sue Hausermann's projects...where you add fabric in shapes here & there. It turned out nice, but I had trouble getting it cut exactly in the middle! I'll try to post the jacket & give some instructions.
Gerry, lovely work - I hope one day to have a serger and do some lovely work like this, too.
When you get a serger, go for the top of the line! I had a cheaper one & could NOT get it threaded, keep it running right, etc. I can tell you the brand if you like, but don't want to actually "bash" a company here. Mine is a Viking & a friend has a Baby Loc...both being good machine.
