Looks like we both got some good answers... Still a little confused my self but I'm sure we can get some others to help us out...

I have learned to like the modern art results from a bad placement. Bows, Ribbons, Buttons seem to end up all over those endless designs to tie them together.
I think you can take e look on the link below, this is a long pattern, the same technique as a border. I've never done a endless border but it sems locigal to me to do this the same way. Hope this helps.
1.)Maybe you would like to look at this page and the menu on the left, the "Hooping" article could be helpful too.
2.)Or try this link.
When this is what you were looking for, I recommend to "google" the term ENDLESS hoop, there are many more results.
It depends on what machine do you have. If you have pfaff 2170 and pfaff creative vision, both have precise positioning or endless hoop which make the job extreme easy. With other machine, you have to use template and the embroidery print out with the cross in the middle to move around the design. I even mark the hoop to help where the design end or start. Since I had 4D extra, 4D extra has feature to add marks to change the design to endless in the four corner to indicater where the design are. I am not sure MasterWorks or Embird have that feature. I can go home check MasterWorks tonite. Since I don't have embird, so I can't tell you much on that.
I have a Brother PE-150. The biggest hoop I have is a super hoop. It is like 2 4x4 hoops put together. But I can still only do a 4x4 design. I have 3 different positions that I can position the hoop. *4U
If that is the case, you merge the designs first, that way save you half of the time.
I would like to know too, So I'm sending u back to the top to help u find out... (((HUGS))) & Flower 4 U...
