Question-do you have to stitch the outline stitch-I've stitched a pattern and the outlines are off in different places

U have gotten excellent answers Brenda& there r times i have left off the outline. There r also times as u have seen on my TP that I only used the outline. *

You don't have to, but the outline quite often also adds some design features you don't want to lose. For instance details like whiskers are almost always digitized as part of the outline. See what happens if you leave it out. Better to add a few stitches by hand than have an outline that annoys you every time you look at it. But are you sure it's the digitizing and not due to insufficient backing? Some design, especially heavy ones, require a double layer of stabilizer.

I think it is digitized poorly as blhamblen said, think I will just hand stitch. It is one of the first designs I downloaded and b4 I put names to design,so can't go ask. Thanks

You don't HAVE TO...but the outline usually "finishes" the design...If it is off then it is usually because of moving the hoop..the stabilizer OR ***Forbid the design is corrupt or digitized poorly. Hope this helps:)
