Here is a little set of pot holders I put together with one of the free designs that I have collected.. I think I will use these two for a gift .. easy to make .they are 7 x 7 and have insul-brite in the center ..

NIce potholders. Great idea to use the wrong side of the denim. The youth clubs (10-15 yr olds) are having a recycle evening the 27th and I'm in charge of the cloth section. I had thought of drawstring bags and totes, but this is even easier. Thank you for the inspiration. Martine

I have tried embroidering on old jeans and it just didn't seem to work for me. Any tricks? I thought by cutting the jeans into 6" squares, they would be perfect to use for test stitch outs. Then I coud sew them all into a rag quilt someday when I had enough. But like I say my machine just doesn't seem to stitch well on denim.

I did not cut these out first.. I embroidered the long part of the back of the leg on the straight of grain with a good stablizer .. then after they were embroidered I cut the size I needed.. came out great..
