Hi modo, try this site you might have some fun there I know I did...I am also a Montrealer, West Islander actually...have fun Glenda
There's a program called Pre-Design Studio that is cheap and easy to use. They offer a 30-day free trial and a number of video's to show what the program offers. Have a look, the link is below.
Sorry can't help you...but you have gotten some really GOOD answers!
Unfortunately, I don't feel that I draw well enough to do my own clipart, so I get all of mine off the web! That's taking the easy way out, I know, but what else can I do?
I have PE Design as well. My DH upgraded me to version 8 at Christmas. (from version 4) Gosh, it is so much easier than ten years ago! Guess I was sort of 'stuck in the past.' LOL
If you need any help with your inherited program I might could answer any questions or point you to some of the right places? You probably know more than me though, since I just started seriously digitizing in the last few months! Before then I was just sort of playing at it.
playing is what I was doing ,but I am unemploied and I feel that if I could embroide some logo for small companie, I could make a bit of money...maybe it is just a dream. Thanks for the offer to help me, I will contact you next time I try to make something*
I find that Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are a good choice. I have been a registered user of both for over 15 years... but they are costly. One is used for Vectors and the other for Bipmaps.
This is a good question, Modo. I draw and scan to my computer, and correct with Embird. I also would like to know what is the best software to minimize the pixels from a clipart. :) Hugs&*
I have a embroidery machine and a pe-design since a bit more than a year( I inherited them), never had the gut to try making a design, if there would be a simple way to make me start,I fell it is so complicate*
I heard PE design is a good software. I was going to buy PE instead embird, but now I am very happy with embird. I'm dreaming of an embroidery machine with bigger hoop :(
